I have been young, and now I am old, but I have never seen a righteous person abandoned or his descendants begging for food. He is always generous and lends freely, His descendants are a blessing. Psalm 37:25,26 GWT
Giving - is to hand over without cost or exchange; present as a gift.

Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. Proverbs 3:27
One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. People curse the man who hoards grain, but blessing crowns him who sells.

All day long he craves for more, but the righteous give without sparing. Proverbs 21:26
The King will reply, “ I tell you the truth, whatever you did to the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. It is better to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it. Ecclesiates 5:4-5

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all thins and all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: ‘He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. II Corinthians 9:6-10

ring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, “ says the Lord Almighty” and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. Malachi 3:10
We need to first give our hearts to God, then our possessions will be easy.
“Money is not a goal but a means to achieve a goal. Money was not meant to be stationary but a currency that runs through many hands. It is not a reserve but a river that flows in riverbanks. It should not be just a collection but our connection to a noble work of God which we cannot call our own. Money can make us better or worse. Once placed in the hand of someone who does not trust God, it becomes his God. But to someone with a godly heart, money is always a good seed planted in a good ground which surely will bring forth harvests in days to come.” source unknown
The story is told of a very wealthy man who stood to tell the congregation of a very large church about his christian faith. “ I’m a millionaire many times over and I attribute it all to the rich blessings of God in my life. I remember that turning point in my faith. I had just earned my first dollar and when I went to a church meeting that night. The speaker was a missionary from Africa who told about his work with the people. I knew I had only a one dollar bill and had either to give it all to God’s work or nothing at all. No discussion of 10%,20% or more.It was all or nothing. So at that moment I decided to give my whole dollar to God. I beleive that God Blessed that decision, and that is why I am a rich man today.” He finished and there was an awed silence at his testimony as he moved toward his seat. As he sat down a little old lady sitting in the same pew leaned over and said to him: “ I dare you do it again.”
